RURAL RESIDENCE IN MOUNT PELION
The briefDesign of a small vacation house in Pelion for a family.
The house is arranged on two levels, the ground floor and a mezzanine. In the center of the plan lies the fireplace, which can be seen from the living room, the master bedroom and even from outside, highlighting is symbolic meaning as the center of domestic life. Around it stand the common spaces and the master bedroom; the mezzanine is a second bedroom for children or guests. The mezzanine’s railing extends outside, where it becomes a protection from sun and rain of the entrance. The majority of the windows are concentrated on the southern corner of the house, maximizing the natural light that enters.
