Teloglion Foundation of Art
In 2006 TFA commisioned k&k architects to trasform the museums cafe into a restaurant that would serve as a club to the members of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
The project is the restaurant of the Teloglion Foundation of Art which is situated right next to the foundations garden. The dominating view of nature provides the inspiration for a forest-like synthesis. The main synthetic gesture is the installation of a line of white metal tree-like sculptures between the columns. A large poster of leaves is hanged above the tree line to complement the impression of a forest. Transparent cut-outs on the windows, translate the view into a trace of logs and branches. The shadows of the cut-outs mixed with the shadows of the trees outside provide a mysterious and relaxing effect.
