NATIONAL PAVILION AWARD FOR THE PRESENTATION QUALITY
The participation presented the work of six acclaimed stage designers. The variety and number of the exhibits led to the separation of the construction into six zones in the form of strips - one for each of the authors. The synthesis is formed through the folding of each strip. As a result two spaces are formed: an external “open” space for costumes to be placed in order to be seamlessly noticed - even from a distance - and an internal, more “introverted” space which claimed for further of the visitor’s attention since it contained more “sensitive” material, such as models, sketches and video screens. In an effort to reconcile with the harsh natural light that entered the exhibition hall from the big arched windows, the strips are gradually ‘dissolved’ letting the light pass through them, thus enhancing the theatricality of the construction. The pavilion was awarded for its presentation quality.
